Motor Mounts

>> I tried to adapt the Miura mounts to the 350GT but the center bolt hole is 10mm. On the 350 it's 12mm. The center sleeve is very thin and can't be drilled out. Also it will make the engine sit higher than normal. I used a BMW strut rod bushing with a sleeve I fabricated so it can fit the casting plus a top plate to keep it all together. The motor mount did take a few hours of work to fabricate all the parts. Attached photographs show how it was done.

The transmission mount I found is for a Volvo and it is identical in design as the 350GT. It just had to have the outer sleeve turned down a few thousandths of an inch on a lathe. <<


Miura motor mounts (available through Jacques) may work for 350/400GT (tho info above says not)
