Subject: Lamborghini Clutch

My name is Mike Reile, and I work at JC Pro Auto in Pompano Beach
FL.I am working on a 1986 Countach Quattrovalve. My dillema is as
follows. The vehicle was in need of a clutch,as engagement of the
clutch did not occur until the clutch pedal was completely
released. The clutch was then removed.Sent to a reputable
re-builder.Flywheel was resurfaced,pressure plate as well.The disc
was relined with Kevlar, and disc thickness was increased to
componsate for material removed from pressure plate. Then
re-installed.The clutch still does not engage, until the clutch
pedal is at the end of its release.I know that this clutch has been
replaced somewhere down the road. What I suspect is that the
pressure plate was resurfaced, and no compinsation was made with the
disc. Now I come along years later,to do the clutch again.Yet now
what is missing and lost is the original clearance. That is what I
need to know. What is the clearance between the pressure plate face
and the flywheel minus the disc supposed to be?I know that the
mounting surface of the pressure plate can be cut,but how
much?Right now I have a clearance of .292 inches.This is what I
need to know. What is the original clearance?Any help or leads would
be greatly appreciated.I can be reached at e-mail adress
JCPROFESSIONA531@bellsouth.net or 954-943-0032 monday thru friday
8-6 EST
Thank You,

Mike Reile
